OUR SHEEPSKINS - A COMMITMENT TO QUALITY

Our sheepskins vome from the south of Chile, from Argentina and from Austalia. Animals which graze only outdoors develop a particularly thick, long-haired and beautifully soft fleece after a while. Our specialists carefully select the pelts from such aninmals and they also guarantee adherence to the highest standards at all stages of production. We can then apply our craftsmanship and finishing techniques to odorless and top quality pelts, which are usually shorn to achieve the perfect cushioning and softnesys for the comfort.

The yellowish hue of the WERNER CHRST sheepskins is produced by the medical tanning process. We use only EU products in our tannery. We also add a vegetable tanning agent obtained from "Tara", a fruit from Peru, to the ecologically unproblematic tanning agent "Relugan". Our unique tanning methods ensure that our sheepskins are kind to the skin and can be easily washed

sheepskin can absorb up to 30% of its own weight in moisture without feeling moist.

Natural self-cleaning power:
the scaly structure of the sheepskin wool fibers helps to repel dirt.

Antibacterial:
sheepskin consists of 100% protein so it doesn't provide a culture medium for viruses or bacteria.
